ABOUT

Plate and Plaid is a home decor business I created in 2016. My name is Kim Dowdle and I live in Raleigh, NC with my  husband, two  kids and a pup named Tucker.

I have always had a love of shopping and an eye for design so when

I began selling some of my own things on a local facebook site

I decided I would try and make it into a career and full time job.

Instagram seemed to be the right fit and it took off from there. 

In that eight years I have gained more than 45,000 followers and

ship all over the country. I am a one woman show and besides a local delivery or post office stop by my husband I do everything myself. The shopping of course, photographs, vignette creation, pricing, web-site

design and all the shipping.

On instagram @plateandplaid - I post photos of our home and items available for purchase. Featured there, all can be purchased right here in the web-shop. Styling is just as fun as the shopping and is so very important when deciding on an item.  I am always changing things around and offer new items  daily so be sure to check back in regularly. I am always looking for unique items you can't find just anywhere. Mostly vintage but I also offer new item specifically picked for you.
